How was your application process at Schulmeister?
I saw the job advertisement for a team assistant at the Graz location online and was immediately interested. I sent in my application and received an invitation for an interview the very next day. The interview—at that time with our former site manager—was very pleasant and friendly, and I was given a detailed insight into the role. I was in a permanent position in event management at the time and, after a short period of consideration, I decided to accept the job, which I have not regretted to this day.
Why did you choose this job?
I have always been interested in the personnel consulting industry, even before my job in event management. At the time, I was looking for a career change, and since I am a very communicative person, I saw the advertised position at Schulmeister—they were looking for a front office, team, and project assistant—as the perfect opportunity for a change. I was looking forward to a varied workday and normal office hours after my long time in event management.
What does a typical working day at Schulmeister look like for you?
My typical working day starts with checking my emails, as this gives me an immediate overview of any changes to the consultants' schedules. I then enter the applications into our database and coordinate appointments and meetings. I also support the team in project work, from researching suitable profiles to writing candidate reports. And, of course, I am also responsible for all administrative tasks at the Graz location. I create invoices, take care of our advertisements, and am responsible for orders.
What's great about your job?
The diverse and varied range of tasks is definitely one of the best aspects of my job. I also really appreciate the fact that working at Schulmeister gives me ongoing insights into different professional groups. And best of all, the Graz team integrates me into every project, and it's especially nice when you've been involved in a successful placement.
What challenges does your job bring?
The variety of my tasks—as much as I like them—sometimes brings with it the challenge of balancing administration and project assistance. In my job, you definitely have to learn to set priorities correctly.
What makes your team special?
We are a very young, uncomplicated team in Graz with extremely good team spirit. We treat each other in a friendly manner and enjoy celebrating our successes 😉 Regular cross-location team events, such as consultant outings or Christmas parties, also strengthen communication with other offices and allow us to get to know the entire group better.
